But Althea seems to be taking this relationship more seriously than I thought....

There I was, just popping out of the library for a bit of coining, because let's face it, you can never have too much money in Puddleby, when I bumped into Althea in tc. Naturally, I bowed and was barely lifting my head when the word "quest" floated to my ears. As it turns out, I was given two quests, one short term, one long term.

The short term quest was..... interesting. 'Thea told me to wait while she went off to fetch something. I waited in trembling anticipation, and pretty soon she returned with a Keg of Honey Ale. My quest? Solo the keg! So I began drinking.... and drinking... and drinking... with a net result of 22 successful mugs, 2 spilled (which I licked up) and 2 falls to excessive drink. My Destine clan mates will not be surprised to learn I passed my first quest, because apparently I am the clan soak :)

Bouyed on by my success and the fact I didn't barf once, I waited for my long term quest. And considering who my anti-knight is, I shouldn't have been surprised by the object of my quest - clothes!

Essentially, I have about 6 months to turn up in an outfit which Althea will find "dazzling". So this little fen is gonna need all the berries she can get! I might even have to turn to our Clan Fashion Model Rhone for advice!

Wish me luck!
Sian

Hanging with Lorikeet

So there I was. Slaughtering my way through SF, making a little coin and hoping for really tough boloks that might give me at least a disp, and picking up the odd ranger message. I bumped into Lorikeet in Yada column, and yes, she was out coining too. I knew she was queen of Horus, but the lady can fight a bit too! Anyway, at first we went our separate ways, laying waste to the usual suspects in SF, then we met up again north of the mirror and decided to join forces. I was just happy to be thought worthy by one of the cream of the Puddleby community! Thus began and awesome two hour hunt!

Having left mirror snell as a barren wasteland full of dead critters, we headed to savannah, and the fun really began. Lori is one of the best bricking healers I've seen. The only time we felt compelled to run was when a sixth maha joined the five i was slowly chewing through. So we cleared Sav, and the Lori asked if I felt up to some LSW'S. It's amazing what courage you develop hanging with a 1k+ horus healer! (1030 to be exact!) But LSW hunting didn't go so well, and after a bit of time lying in a pool of blood, we abandoned the beach and returned to Sav in time for a respawn :)

So, having cleared Sav twice (!) Lori suggested we hit the cloud, and we hit it with a vengeance! C&S was a bit full of ice mahas, so we went south cross the river into a wonderland of cloud and sky mahas who tasted the pointy end of my goss. Perhaps we were getting a little to cocky, and the fun had a temporary halt when I fell and Lori got trapped against a tree by eight mahas and assorted junk. While Lori was never really in danger of falling (in fact she only went green for a second), the call went out for a fighter to do some spade work and dig her out. Kani and Hoggle turned up with Sielu (remember him? ;0 ) and wasted the pack. The five of us then beat the snot out of C&S before heading home for a beer, about 400 coins richer each!

So a quality hunt! The other cool thing was Lori said some nice things about Destine. She likes our style and our approach, so yay us! And it was nice to hang with someone I'd seen around since day one, but never really got to know before. She rocks, and I have a new friend :)

Sian

A Brief History

I was exiled about 10 years ago. That's what happens when some of the Emperor's troops decide to make unwelcome remarks about your fine fen tail and you give them advice about what they can do with their swords and certain parts of their anatomy. But I guess pissing off the Emperor runs in my family. My sister Cyrrhi had been exiled about 2 years earlier, so I guess my exile was kind of a family reunion.

It's long enough ago that I can admit it now. Yes, I began my exile life as a wannabe mystic! Unfortunately I only came to my senses after 100 ranks of bodrus, which has kind of thrown my fighter training a little out of whack. But whacking is now my business. I'm not Clan Destine champion fighter for my drop dead good looks ya know!

I gotta say, Clan Destine was the best thing that happened to me. It gave me a sense of comaraderie I felt was lacking after so many years as a lone swordsfen. For more info, check out Destine's website.

And now? Well I'm 3rd circle and I've been sucked into the whole "wouldn't it be cool to be a ranger" thing. So now I'm the fen frantically trying to scrape more goss ranks together.

Other current interests? Well, I am official ship's cat of the puddleby navy - a title that cost me a good 100coins! Technically, I am also anti-squire to Althea the anti-knight, but that's a part-time position at best. And don't start me on Nox Sorora! How many years have I been praising midnight for?!??!

I'm not the most organised fen in the lands, so these purrings are going to jump around a bit, but hey chaos isn't such a bad thing ;)

Sian

A Purry Welcome

Okay, okay so Oot got a Blog!
